Rearranging circuits connected to a switchboard

We get a lot of questions from our clients about rearranging final circuits connected to a switchboard, so, we decided to demonstrate it with a knowledgebase article.

Below, we have a switchboard, MAIN BOARD, and three final circuits, FC1, FC2, and FC3. We will move FC1 to various locations and highlight the differences between ElectricalOM's drag&drop options.

SB Rearrangement 1

First, we will move FC1 to way 2 but we also want to keep FC2. We drag and drop FC1 over FC3 and choose Move and then Above option. This will move FC1 before FC2 and shift rest of the final circuits towards FC1’s old location.

(Alternatively, this can also be achieved by dragging and dropping FC1 over FC2 and selecting Move Below option.)

Our second goal is to move FC1 after FC3 but still want to keep all other circuits. We again drag and drop FC1 over FC3 and select Move and then Below. This time FC1 will be moved after FC2 and again shift rest of the final circuits towards FC1’s old location.

SB Rearrangement 3

(Alternatively, this can also be achieved by dragging and dropping FC1 over FC3 and selecting Move Above option.)

As a third goal, we will move FC1 to FC3’s location. The trick here is, we want to copy FC1 over FC3. We drag and drop FC1 over FC3 and select Replace and then And Keep option. ElectricalOM will copy FC1 over FC3 and will also keep original FC1. This action will delete FC3.

Finally, we will swap FC1 and FC3. This will just swap these two circuits. Similarly, we drag and drop FC1 over FC3 and select Swap option.
