Switch Board component has two options, 3Ph and 1Ph. If the user tries to insert a switch board immediately after a three-phase source, then, only the 3Ph option will be available to select, otherwise both options are selectable.

Any component can be added after a switchboard. In order to insert a component to a switch board, it must be selected first before using the Insert menu. The available components will automatically filtered depending on the switch board's phase setting, e.g. ElectricalOM will display only 1Ph components if a 1Ph switch board is selected, and display all of the components if a 3Ph switch board is selected.

Components added to a switch board will be added to L1 phase of the available way.

  • If three phase components are added, the first component will be added to way no.1, second component will be added to way no.2 and so on.
  • If single phase component are added, the first component will be added to L1 of the way no.1, second component will be added to L1 of the way no.2, and so on.
  • If a single phase component is added, this will be added to L1 of the way no.1, and if a three phase component is added after this single phase component, then, that will be inserted to L1-L2-L3 of the way no.2 and L2 and L3 of way no.1 will be skipped.

In order to move circuits, Circuit Edit module needs to be used, see Phase in Circuit Edit Module Tab section.

Other features associated with the Switch Board component are the multiple source connection and the coupling. For more details about these features, please refer to Switchboard Functions Menu section.
