Another component which has similar features to a Switch Board component is the Transfer Switch component. Transfer Switch component has also two options, 3Ph + N and 1Ph + N. If the user tries to insert a transfer switch immediately after a three-phase source, then, only the three-phase option will be available to select, otherwise both options are selectable.




Transfer Switch component acts the same as a Switch Board but has a slight difference on the Circuit edit tab which has a Load field where the user sets a rating for the component. ElectricalOM will check the design current and warn the user if the rating of the transfer switch is not adequate.
