Quick Access Toolbar is located at the top of the main screen of ElectricalOM, next to the ElectricalOM logo and it is used for basic functions like saving a project and opening an existing project. Functions of the buttons are listed below (from left to right):

  1. New project: Once clicked, it creates a new project. The new project will be created using data provided by the user at "Project info and options..." menu. Same action can be initiated by pressing Ctrl+N on keyboard.
  2. Open project: This shortcut button is used to open an existing project. Once clicked, "Open" window will appear so you can navigate and select a project file to open. Same action can be initiated by pressing Ctrl+O on keyboard.
  3. Save: ElectricalOM is a file based software which requires a file to be created on the users' storage area containing all the data with regards to the modelled system. This button is used to save the active project as an ElectricalOM file. If it is the first time you save a project, then it will act as "Save as...". You can select a folder and type in a name for your project file. After the first time or in a case of a previously saved project, this button will just save the current state of the project under the same name. Same action can be initiated by pressing Ctrl+S on keyboard.
  4. Undo: Undo button is used to reverse an action. Every click will revert previous action until the last point the project saved by the user. When there is an available step to undo, then, this button becomes blue. Same action can be initiated by pressing Ctrl+Z on keyboard.
  5. Redo: Redo button restores any actions that were previously undone by the undo button. Once the user makes any changes to the project following an undo action, Redo button will be reset.When there is an available step to redo, then, this button becomes blue. Same action can be initiated by pressing Ctrl+Y on keyboard.
