CAD Plan Design / Wiring - High Level/Low Level Wiring
« Last post by mbd-uk on 21 October 2021, 14:39 »
I have an installation where the Submain Cable running between 2 DB's, installed at high level and then drops to underground.

Any advice on how to enter these 2 installation levels in CAD plan as a single cable?

Thanks

Installation and licence issues / Share licence?
« Last post by Ryan_T on 15 October 2021, 10:28 »
Hi,

Is it possible to use a licence between two people, like my colleague? We are business partners actually and we will use the software together. Is it possible to run it on two different computers?

Cheers

Good idea! We will make sure it will be included in the next updates

It would be a nice feature if these were able to be transferred somehow.
Depending on where these are saved, if that were a cloud drive, such as OneDrive (others are available), which was available and synchronised across the two computers, then EOM could be pointed to this location in the file structure on both devices?
Perhaps something in a "configuration file" to tell EOM where to look?

CAD Plan Design / Re: Auto cad colours

The default is print by page colour. The print figure colour will bypass the print by page colour and print the figure as it appears on the screen.

Hi Ryan_T,

Actually there is no global "print in colour" feature unfortunately, however, if you select the items or all and go to Properties tab and then under Printing you will see Print figure in colour. You can set this to Yes to print the selection in colour.

That goes for line weights too.

ElectricalOM for Advanced Users / Re: ElectricalOM two supply problem
« Last post by Mert on 12 October 2021, 10:23 »
Hello RCDGuy,

Changes apply only to the active network. To edit a circuit path you need to close the open switch first. The same applies in rearranging the circuits and/or modifying protection devices etc.

Also,
I cannot make the 2 length of cable from MSB and EMSB different.

There is something I do not understand.

1.   SSB 2
I have a switchboard SSB 2.  There are 2 incoming to this switchboard – 1 from MSB and the other from EMSB
I created the feed from MSB.  I then create tye EMSB and connect this EMSB to SSB 2.  This feed is supposed to be the primary feed.

Problem noticed:
•   Physically I have no objection over the display.  However:
•   When I change the breaker in the EMSB for SSB 2, it does not reflect the change I had done.
•   I believe the change is for the CB at MSB

Other problem
•   At EMSB, I noted that I cannot shift the feeder for SSB 2 to a location I wanted.  It stayed at the location I created the connection to SSB 2
•   The SLD on the left do not reflect the circuit breaker to SSB 2 from EMASB although the feed from MSB is clearly indicated

Please advise whether what I experience was a result of using the program or that I did not follow the steps correctly.
