ElectricalOM for New Users / Re: Consumer Unit Schedules

"Is there any way to avoid this and just start the numbering again?"

Simple answer is not at the moment.

"I'd like to try and make the ElecOM output more like the other image"

You can use custom report excel templates to create your own format. you can find the codes used for various data here:

ElectricalOM for New Users / Consumer Unit Schedules
« Last post by Unknown on 03 November 2023, 09:24 »
We've had feedback from some clients regarding how we show split load consumer units with the extension board. Generally it's found to be confusing with the split section having a prefix of the way it was added to, e.g. by adding the extension board to way 9, all ways then become 9.1, 9.2, 9.3 etc.

Is there any way to avoid this and just start the numbering again?

We also are struggling with how RCD protective devices are shown for split load consumer units. Below are two screenshots. One using ElecOM and one using a different software package. I'd like to try and make the ElecOM output more like the other image as it's easier to understand. Does anyone know any better ways of setting up the reports?

Hi MBESSEBM,

Please use the latest beta and see if it works. If not, send your file to support@modecsoft.com for further inspection, please.

ElectricalOM for New Users / Unable to import Easycert files

Hi all,

I'm currently having an issue with importing DB's across to EOM.
I have followed the steps correctly as shown in the guides available but I get a blank DB schedule with nothing to select.

My process is:

EOM > File > Import > Tysoft EasyCert > Select EasyCert File > "Tysoft Import DBs

The box completely blank.

I have tried both complex commercial installations and very simple domestic installations yet neither will show a selectable DB.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

Hi, unfortunately not possible at the moment.

HI, Just wondering if there is a way of combing multiple supply scenarios in a single report? For example if I have mains + Gen configuration, could I do one report to cover those, or I have to do two separate Reports? thanks

The PV modelling is done in two parts at the moment.

1. defining it as a load. 'insert a final circuit and set is as a renewable source. this will help with cable sizing and protective device rating selection (the power of the inverter will not contribute to total power of the system)

2. Adding it as a source. insert a DC source and separately insert an AC/DC converter to the point you want to connect the PV system. insert a JB to the converter. Connect DC source to the JB.

Currently PV and grid cannot run simultaneously, I must admit that is not ideal. However, updates to this is at final stages and will be released as a Beta very soon.

Great Post. I hope to see an answer.

I am starting to see more and more solar come my way and it would be fantastic if I could use ElectricalOM for string configuration and sizing for both domestic and commercial applications.

If possible What is the best way to model a Solar connection ?

I'm sure I have seen a Video on this but I cant recall where is was.
